Coast Physiotherapy provides a high quality Physiotherapy service tailored to our older generation.

Private services include rehabilitation, exercise prescription, pain management, DVA services.

Facility services include Assessments, Treatment, Care Plans, ACFI, Documentation, Mobility Charts, Rehabilitation, Manual Handling, Falls prevention, Inservices and more.

Coast Physiotherapy are a small, mobile, friendly team of physiotherapists committed to ensuring treatment and assessment are of the highest standards.

ACFI and RACF's

Coast Physiotherapy understands ACFI and realise it is crucial in enabling the best possible resident outcomes.

We can manage complex pain within Aged Care Facilities, with or without the physiotherapy service.

We have developed documentation procedures and ensure regular, reliable pain management delivery so you can be confident this is being managed appropriately and not be concerned during future audits.

Our detailed knowledge of ACFI funding means we can review your Complex Healthcare claims and ensure care funding is maximised.

Our long term RACF contracts are testament to our service delivery and commitment to the facilities we service.

PAIN MANAGEMENT

Coast Physiotherapy can provide a wide range of Pain Management options in both the home and Residential Facilities. Directives, techniques and modalities are client centred and are geared towards the older population to ensure comfort and maximise success managing pain.

Strategies that are more beneficial managing pain in the older population can be very different to those implemented on the local sports field or in Private Practice.

Coast Physiotherapy exclusively treats the older population and provides safe and effective pain management.

Physiotherapy Assessment

Prompt, professional assessment with a client centred focus, ensuring the best possible care outcome and function for the client. Our experienced Physiotherapists are able to provide the optimum assessment and management for all conditions and needs.

Physiotherapy Treatment

Physiotherapy intervention is provided by our physiotherapists to a high standard, with a focus on what will most beneficial for our older clients. We work closely with physiotherapy aides and nursing staff in RACF's to increase their skill set and contribution to their Facility

Pain Management

Coast Physiotherapy have experienced Pain Management physiotherapists to provide a warm, friendly and effective treatment. Directives and recording treatments are comprehensive within a RACF setting.

ACFI advice

ACFI funds enable Providers to deliver the highest possible standard of care. We will ensure you can maximise the value of funding received and thus the service for your residents. We can analyse your service and provide cost effective recommendations to improve your care.

Equipment and DVA provision

Coast Physiotherapy's strength lies in its experience and knowledge. Client and Facility equipment can be recommended and sourced with confidence.

Certain DVA entitlements remain in RACF's - we can ensure appropriate provision of all available items.

Documentation

Coast Physiotherapy has developed its own documentation which is available to complement Facility software. The range includes Manual Handling and Falls Prevention presentations, Physiotherapy Assistant training, Mobility charts, exercise group sessions and simple, effective ACFI recording.

Coast Physiotherapy are a small team of experienced, well trained, well liked and knowledgeable physiotherapists who can contribute to many facets of a Residential Aged Care Facility. Coast Physiotherapy was established in 2008 and we have provided a progressive, effective and respected Aged care physiotherapy service ever since. We are proud at Coast Physiotherapy to have maintained a consistent, high quality service that has been committed to long term servicing of our clients needs.

An affinity with the Aged population developed during my early physiotherapy career, which had included hospital geriatric positions, multiple stints with Royal Flying Doctor Service in Broken Hill and wide ranging experience within the NHS and Aged Care in the UK. My transition into Aged Care after returning to the Central Coast was simple and it has been rewarding seeing the positive differences that can be made by a dedicated professional at every stage of life.

I enjoy working with the aged population and believe they deserve a personal and high quality service. Residential Aged Care Facilities enable this by having the right people in the right positions. I have refined and enhanced the role Coast Physiotherapy plays in Residential Aged Care Facilities over many years and enjoy the many positive outcomes which come with this for those whose home we work in!
